Meet the Librarian

Hello, my name is Mrs. Aaron.

I am excited to start my first year at Glencoe Middle School, as the Media Specialist! This will be my 22nd year as an educator. I earned my bachelor's, master's and Educational Specialist degrees from the Jacksonville State University,! My husband and I have four children, three dogs and a cat....hope to see you in the Media Center.

Vision Statement

The Glencoe Middle School Media Center envisions a dynamic, inclusive space where students are inspired to explore, create, and grow as empowered, responsible citizens in a digital and information-rich world.


Mission Statement

The Glencoe Middle School Media Center supports the school’s mission by providing access to diverse physical and digital resources, collaborative makerspace opportunities, and technology stations in a safe, supportive, and student-centered environment. We are committed to fostering critical thinking, lifelong learning, and digital literacy through high-quality, relevant materials and experiences that enhance academic success and personal growth.

Using the Library

Students can check out two books at a time.

Students will have two weeks to return the book.

Students can come throughout the day with teacher permission, or during their break

Students can work on any of the library extensions, the maker activities, or look for a book.

Book Suggestions

Students if you have a book, topic, or author suggestion, I would love to hear it! Just put it in the box beside the checkout station, or complete the Book Suggestion Survey.

If you visit our online catalog you can search our collection. Use your school Google account and it will allow you to read any of our eBooks.

Putting a book on hold

  • You need to click login in the top right and choose sign in with Google
  • You will search for the book you want
  • You will click on the book's title
  • You will click the Hold It button
Policy of the Library

Students are expected to behave in a manner that will not disturb others who are using the library for study and research. Conversation should be kept to a minimum.


Food, drinks, and chewing gum are not permitted in the library.
