Anti-Bullying Campaign

October is Anti-Bullying month


Homerooms will promote anti-bullying material while competing for fun incentives!

Each homeroom within each grade will participate in an anti-bullying poster contest

The homeroom winner from each grade will be awarded a movie and popcorn day!

The competition will begin on Monday, October 8th and end on Friday October 12th.  Homeroom time should be extended for approximately thirty minutes each morning. (You may work this time to fit your schedule.) 

Outside parties will be called in to judge the winners of the poster contest.


 Anti-Bullying Writing Contest – Entries due October 16, 2012

Each language teacher that wishes to participate will select ten (10) student written poems for submission to the First Annual GMS Anti-Bullying Writing Contest.

The voice of someone who was or is being bullied

How to stop bullying

A time when you were bullied

A time when you were being a bully

Internet/FB Bullying

What is bullying?

First, second, third and honorable mention will be awarded.

Fifth and sixth grade will be judged together.

Seventh and eighth grade will be judged together.

Prizes: The students that have writing selected for the competition will receive an automatic “dress down” day! The winners will receive a “dress down” day and a prize yet to be decided. (Open to suggestions)
