Title I

Title I is a federally funded program that is designed to support state and local schools in order to reinforce and amplify efforts to improve teaching and learning for students who are farthest from meeting state standards. Glencoe Middle School's Title I school wide program is based on effective means of improving student achievement and is designed to include strategies to support parental involvement.

Parents' Right-To-Know
Please be aware that you may request, and the school will provide in a timely manner, information regarding the professional qualifications of your child's classroom teacher(s), including the following:
o   Whether the teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction.
o   Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived.

o   The baccalaureate degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.

o Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualification
