Name: Alison Roberts
Subjects: Social Studies, Reading, Language
Grades: 6th

I graduated from Auburn University in 1999 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (grades 1-6).  I completed my Master's Degree from Jacksonville State in 2003 in Collaborative Teaching (grades K-12).  May 2018, I graduated with my Education Specialist degree in Collaborative Teaching from the University of West Alabama. I am Highly Qualified according to the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.

My first year teaching was in Georgia with 32 second graders!  I came to Glencoe Middle School in 2001 and taught 5th grade Language for nine years.  I changed positions to being the Resource Teacher at GMS and did this for seven years.  August 2017, I came back into the classroom as a 6th grade teacher.  I am the only Language teacher for the 6th grade and also teach one class of Social Studies and Reading.

I am married, have an active 5th grade son who attends GMS, and a precious three-year-old daughter.

I love the students and the community in Glencoe and am proud to be a Glencoe Jacket.

(I use the Remind app as an easy means of communication. I have an account for my homeroom class (which covers social studies and reading), and I have an account for my language classes. If you need the code to be added to Remind, please contact me via email, and I will share the code.)
